Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how PARALEGAL LGA ("we," "us," or "our"), an independent California Legal Document Assistant based in Los Angeles, California, collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit inproperlda.com (the "Site") or submit materials for a bad faith insurance evidence file. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We are also not affiliated with any insurance carrier.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Contact information (name, email, phone, mailing address in California).
- Claim details you enter into intake forms (carrier, claim number, dates, description of the loss and dispute).
- Documents you upload (policies, correspondence, estimates, photos, recorded-statement transcripts, adjuster notes, etc.).
- Payment confirmations we receive from our third-party payment processor (we do not collect or store full card numbers).
- Any messages you send us.
Automatically collected:
- IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Basic analytics used to understand traffic and improve the Site.
2. How we use information
- To prepare, organize, and deliver your evidence file.
- To communicate with you about your case, invoices, and scheduling.
- To process the $95 review fee and hourly invoices.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with California and federal law, including California Business & Professions Code §6400 et seq. governing Legal Document Assistants.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How we share information
We share information only with:
- Service providers who host the Site, store files, deliver email, and process payments, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- An attorney or expert you authorize us in writing to send your file to.
- Government authorities when required by subpoena, court order, or California / federal law.
- A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Confidentiality
Because we are a Legal Document Assistant and not an attorney, the information you submit is not protected by the attorney–client privilege. We treat your file as confidential as a matter of contract and professional practice, but you should not assume that communications with us carry the same legal protections as communications with a licensed attorney.
5. Data security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security on our database — to protect information you submit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We retain intake submissions and case materials for at least the period required by California Business & Professions Code §6410 (currently three years from the date services are last rendered), and longer where reasonably needed for our records, disputes, or legal compliance. You may request earlier deletion subject to those obligations.
7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you.
- Request a copy of that information in a portable format.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion, subject to our record-keeping obligations under §6410 and other law.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do neither.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise a right, email us at the address below with the subject line "California Privacy Request". We will verify your identity before responding.
8. Cookies
The Site uses a small number of first-party cookies and similar technologies for session state and basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work properly without them.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party pages (for example, carrier review sites or court records). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
